I don’t care who the opposition is, says Rahim
Suman Chakravorty & Sabyasachi Bagchi, New Delhi: Though he hasn’t scored a goal in the game Colombia but India’s forward and Bengal’s very own Rahim Ali didn’t look a bit concerned ahead of facing Ghana in their final group league game of FIFA U17 World Cup. India U17 coach Luis Norton de Matos too is very happy with Rahim’s performance.
Rahim has always been regarded as a fearless footballer in his team. Ahead of India’s most vital match against Ghana Rahim looked very confident.”All the players have two hands and two feet. So why I would fear Ghana? Earlier in my career I used to fear other players, but after getting a lot of match practice I don’t fear any team whether it is Brazil or Ghana,” said Rahim.
He doesn’t know whether he would be in the playing XI against Ghana, but he said with or without him India will fight. He also wants to score against Ghana.
Rahim’s elder brother was a great footballer too but he couldn’t continue his game due to financial problems. But he wants to fulfill his family’s dream by becoming a good footballer. Rahim don’t know whether Ghana game would be their last match of the FIFA U17 World Cup or not but he want to score a goal tomorrow for his country.
Rahim’s childhood coach Amiyo Ghosh is in New Delhi to watch his student’s game in the FIFA U17 World Cup. He came to the team hotel today to meet Rahim and discussed with him regarding his game play.” I am very happy with his game. He is a very good footballer. I have told him that if he can score a goal in the competition, I will give him a ring as a present and if he plays well in the next match too, I will reward him a special gift after the tournament ends,” said Amiyo.
