The City of Joy has been proving it time and again in the FIFA U17 World Cup 2017. The Quarter Final between Brazil and Germany drew a crowd of 66,613 supporters at the Salt Lake Stadium. The trend continues for the epic semi final as well. The football passionate city responded unbelievably after the game got shifted its venue from Guwahati to Kolkata for poor ground conditions. There were rumours that except the online tickets, offline tickets too would be sold from the Salt Lake Stadium, Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, Mohammedan Sporting Club and Milan Mela ground, which has not been the case. The people could only collect their tickets if they had the confirmation mail with its code. Many football fanatics were seen standing at the club tents of three Kolkata giants, since midnight. According to them they have come from various parts of West Bengal to collect tickets for the high voltage FIFA U17 World Cup semifinal between Brazil and England. After reaching at the club they haven't got any positive news from the club management too about any possibilities of getting offline tickets. Though Mr.Joy Bhattacharya, on behalf of the FIFA LOC announced that the priced tickets 'might be' available on the match day from the East bengal, Mohun Bagan, Mohun Bagan and Milan Mela Ground. No doubt, Kolkata is proving every second why it is called the Mecca of Indian football.
