Kolkata: FIFA President Gianni Infantino will arrive in the city on October 26 for the final of the FIFA U17 World Cup final to be played at the Salt Lake Stadium on October 28. The FIFA President will be accompanied by a 35 member delegates. Mr Infantino will be on a three day visit to the City of Joy. The State Government of Bengal will present in front of the FIFA delegates a cultural programme at the iconic Victoria Memorial on the evening of the same day followed by a dinner hosted by the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

“He is coming to Kolkata for the final match of the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup to be held on October 28 and the chief minister will host a dinner in his honour on October 26,” a senior state government officer said.

The next day i.e., on October 27 the FIFA Executive Council meeting will take place at a city hotel. There is another programme lined up the same evening at the Eco Park in Rajarhat which will also be attended by the FIFA President along with the FIFA legends like Marco Van Basten. German legend Franz Beckenbauer is also likely to be present for the function hosted by the All India Football Federation.

FIFA President Infantino will be the chief guest for the final of the FIFA U17 World Cup, to be played at the Salt Lake Stadium on October 28.
