FIFA U17 World Cup: Electrifying atmosphere at the Salt Lake Stadium

Kolkata: The City of Joy saw the football fanatics from all parts of the state going to the Salt Lake Stadium to watch the third place match between Brazil and Mali and a big final between England and Spain of the FIFA U17 World Cup today. The craze for the tickets of the judgment day was just the same like the quarterfinal and semifinal. Many renowned delegates from all over the world are also present in this grand football carnival. The invitees are FIFA President Gianni Infantino, All India Football Federation President Praful Patel, Sports Minister of India Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Chief Minister of West Bengal Smt. Mamata Banerjee and many others.

The supporters of the Kolkata giants East Bengal and Mohun Bagan too came in numbers to watch the matches wearing the jerseys of their beloved clubs. Not only the supporters, the Green and Maroon club officials, Srinjoy Bose and Debashish Dutta too are present at the venue wearing the club jerseys. The delegates saw some brilliant art work of the students while entering at the stadium. The Mecca of football looked fully ready to host the biggest football festival in Indian history.

In the mean time, Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore inaugurated a dressing room named after PK Banerjee, Late Sailen Manna & Chuni Goswami at the SAI Complex today.

On the other hand the local police authority has arrested four blackers who were selling tickets for much high price.
