Fans unhappy with India cricket team’s official photo. Find out why

XtraTime Web Desk: Virat Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma is being targeted once again on social media after she appeared in the Indian team’s picture at the High Commission event in London on Tuesday.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has posted a picture of the team members and support staff with officials of the Indian High Commission in London.

Anushka also features in the picture, standing next to husband and Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli.

But her presence has raised eyebrows among Indian fans who are clueless as to why she is being allowed to travel with the team in the first place.

Anushka is the only star wife who is still accompanying her partner on the tour. In the picture, posted by BCCI on social media, the Bollywood actress can be seen standing in the front along side Kohli with majority of his teammates standing behind them.

It is indeed puzzling as to how Anushka is still travelling with Kohli and the team as the BCCI had barred the wives and girlfriends of the Indian cricket team players from accompanying their respective partners until the end of the third Test against England.

According to reports, the BCCI has also decided that WAGs of India’s cricket stars  will join their partners for 14 days after the first two weeks of a 45-day tour in future.

The cricketers’ wives including Anushka, Sakshi Dhoni, Ritika Sajdeh (Rohit Sharma’s wife), Ayesha Mukherjee (Shikhar Dhawan’s spouse) and others were present throughout the limited-overs series between India and England in July.

But only Anushka has stayed back with Kohli while the rest have left which is what some people on Twitter are complaining about.
