Kolkata:
As the Derby Celsius rises, Kolkata gets divided into two halves or rather two colours. Red and Gold versus Green and Maroon as the two giants face off in what happens to be the clash of the titans.

Both the Kolkata giants didn’t get the much needed start which they wanted as both the teams got just a point. Mohun Bagan drew 1-1 as they conceded a late goal against Minerva Punjab while East Bengal drew against Aizawl FC after being 2-0 up at a stage.

With the Salt Lake stadium hosting the derby after almost 2 years i.e. 680 days, the football lovers of the City of Joy has turned up in numbers to support their favourite team. The fans have started arriving in trucks, tempos carrying huge banners and shouting slogans.

A British couple Ian and Pearl has traveled all the way from England to Salt Lake Stadium. After hearing from a friend the duo has turned up to witness the encounter as he jokingly says, “I am an East Bengal fan”.
