Kolkata:
The speculations are all set to come to an end. The prolonged discussion about the misfired Brazilian Charles D’Souza in the East Bengal colours are about to come to an end. As per the club sources, East Bengal have short-listed their choice for the replacement of Charles, www.xtratime.in can confirm.

Two former East Bengal foreigners Dudu Omagbemi and Do Dong Hyun are now battling for the spot. But Dudu is certainly leading the race, as the club is trying to get a strong and experienced centre-forward. Though Dong too is having a negotiation with the officials.
Dudu didn’t have a memorable outing for East Bengal in the past, as he could not fulfil the expectations under coach Eelco Schattorie and Armando Colaco. But he showed his worth when he came back to India for Chennaiyin FC last season in the Indian Super League.
The former Golden Boot winner of the National Football League has always been a “team player” and a hardworking performer. On the flip side, Dong has always been a fan-favourite and his stellar performances in the Calcutta Football League and Kolkata Derbies have made him a popular figure.
Though, Dudu has been a front-runner right now and if things go rightly, he is going to be the likely replacement of Charles.
