Exclusive: ISL franchise parts ways with the most high-profile coach of the league

Suman Chakravorty: ISL 2017 to be on the headlines again as the most high profile Coach of the league Rene Meulensteen to get parted ways with Kerala Blasters FC. Despite the big name signings like former Manchester United stars Dimitar Berbatov and Wes Brown, the team failed to deliver the goods.

The Kochi based franchise have been in the news since the first day of the season as they had signed top players like Berbatov, Brown, Iain Hume and the others.

After the seven matche, the Yellow Brigade is languishing at the eighth position with only seven points by their name.

Rene had been the first team coach of Manchester United for years and prepared world class players with the great Sir Alex Ferguson. No doubt, his absence would create a huge void in the league.
