England pacer Anderson makes an absolute disgraceful gesture towards Ashwin
Xtra Time Web Desk: England Test pace spearhead James Anderson has come up with an absolute shocking gesture towards Ravichandran Ashwin following the mankading incident involving the Indian off-spinner. Kings XI Punjab skipper Ravi Ashwin recently invited severe criticism from all corners for mankading Rajasthan Royals batsman Jos Butler during an Indian Premier League (IPL) game on last Monday. In a video shared on twitter the England paceman is seen shredding Ashwin’s picture as a reaction to the Mankad controversy. The video itself is very disrespectful towards the Indian off-spinner.
Ashwin’s gesture to mankad Butler cannot be supported at all but at the same time the off-spinner was within the laws of the game. The cricket fraternity was clearly divided with majority raising the question of spirit of the game. Butler was batting confidently on 69 runs and it seemed Royals were cruising towards the victory target of 185 runs. But the controversial incident took place on the fifth delivery of 13th over, when the Kings XI captain (Ashwin), noticing Butler out of the crease dislodged the bails without warning the English batsman. The controversial dismissal triggered a mini collapse as Rajasthan Royals fell short by 14 runs.EXCLUSIVE: @jimmy9 give us his unique take on @josbuttler’s controversial run out last week...
