East Bengal to have their pre-season in Europe?

Kolkata: East Bengal might become the first team ever in the history of I-League to have their pre-season in Europe. The Red and Gold brigade has all the probability to have their preseason training in Spain. The newly appointed Head Coach Alejandro Menendez Garcia has made his intent very clear. He wants to do something very special on his arrival to Indian football.

Garcia came to the club to have a detailed discussion with the officials about the pre-season. East Bengal official Debabrata Sarkar told www.xtratime.in ,”Yes, we might do our preseason training in Europe. It might be Spain or Italy.” Though, it is learnt that the Spanish coach wants to have it in Spain.

On the flip side, sources revealed that the officials are not all happy on the performance of newly appointed CEO Sanjit Sen. The CEO is yet to sign any foreign forward so far in this season and the club feels that the fiasco in the ongoing CFL has happened largely owing to the dearth of a quality foreign forward.
