East Bengal Suffers A Huge Setback Ahead Of Derby

Kolkata: Problems are not leaving  East Bengal team! The fine issue related with Bernard Mendy, Ranti Martins was discarded by East Bengal officials on Thursday as they did not want any controversy ahead of the derby in between the team management and players. This is totally a new problem which has now arise in East Bengal.

On Thursday, in the Asian World Cup qualifiers match against Iran in Tehran which India lost 4-0, Bikash Jairu badly injured himself in his hand which ruled him out of the later part of the match. This incident made him uncertain for the all important derby on April 2nd in Siliguri. According to East Bengal top official Debabrata Sarkar, “We got the news sometime back. Its a shocker for us. It seems that he might not be available for the derby.”

East bengal coach Biswajit Bhattacharya looked worried on one of his important players unavailability. The gaffer said,” Its a sad news. i will speak to the officials regarding this issue.”

Meanwhile, Mohammed Rafique has been recalled back in the Indian side to replace injured Jairu.
