East Bengal sends ‘contract paper’ to sign their second foreigner

Kolkata: Kingfisher East Bengal’s quest for signing their second foreign recruit seems imminent as the Red and Brigade sends contract paper to one of their “misfired” foreigners to give him another chance to prove himself.

Willis Deon Plaza started the last season really well, but in the midway he lost his goalscoring boot and ended up one of the prime reasons of failure to secure a national level trophy. But new coach Khalid Jamil has high expectations on Plaza and he believes that the Caribbean can deliver his best under his guidence.

East Bengal’s Advisory Committee Head Manoranjan Bhattacharya too believes that Plaza would be a good option on the upfront despite his failure in the last season.
