Kolkata: Kolkata’s Red and Gold outfits East Bengal missed thier flight for Pune where the side are scheduled to play a pre season practice game. After playing two parctice games with Bengaluru FC the Kolkata giants are to play yet another friendly with FC Pune City.

To play in Pune, the East Bengal side left from Bangalore. But not just one or two players, the entire team missed their flight to Pune what happens to be a targic event.

The Kolkata club has reportedly said that the sole reason for missing the flight has been delay in the tickets. The Bangalore based side were to provide them tickets which they did just an hour back before the flight was to depart at 4:50 PM.

The place at which East Bengal team resided takes at least an hour and a half to reach the airport so it was impossible for them to depart in time. Moreover East Bengal players namely Al Amna and Md Rafique were also yet to receive their laundry from the hotel.

Team manager Alvito D’Cunha had also requested the flight authorities to delay the flight take off for a little bit however his request was turned down as the boarding had already started taking place by that time.

Owing to these circumstances the team travelled to Pune by bus however Bengaluru FC didn’t pay the bus fair as they finished their job by only providing the flight tickets. East Bengal would be playing against the Pune side on October 30. The team would miss the service of Nikhil who suffered a jerk in his knee.
