East Bengal in talks with two Aizawl FC players

Kolkata: East Bengal has already started to prepare themselves for the upcoming football season as they have already roped four brilliant players. They had already signed Syrian footballer Mahmood Al Amna who was one of the key players of Aizawl FC this season.

Apart from Al Amna, the Red and Gold brigade signed three important players yesterday which include Lalram Chullova, Brandon Vanlalremoika and Richard Costa.

Apart from signing these three talented players the Kolkata giant is again seeking to rout two other Aizawl FC players.

East Bengal are nearing final talks with Aizawl FC defender Zotea Ralte who scored the all important headed against Mohun Bagan. Both East Bengal and Bengaluru FC has expressed their desire to sign the young Mizo defender.

He has been offered a 2-year contract by the Kolkata side.

“I had a conversation with Alvito D’Cunha and East Bengal wants to offer me a 2 year contract from the upcoming season. However nothing is certain at this moment” said Ralte with talking to xtratime.in

Aizawl FC forward Dhanmawia who was the top scorer of the Mizo league is also on the hot list of the Bengal club.

Aizawl FC coach Khalid Jamil who currently became “Coach of the Year” when he made the north-east side champions is currently out of contract.

“As of now nothing is certain. If East Bengal or Mohun Bagan offers me a contract then I will think of joining them” said Khalid Jamil to xtratime.in

On the other hand the Red & Gold Brigade have released their all three foreigners by clearing their remaining payments. According to the sources the club has deducted 25 thousand rupees each from Wedson and Bukenya’s salary for their poor performances in the I-League. Wedson is returning to Haiti on June 1 while Bukenya will return to his country later this week. East Bengal’s another foreigner from Trinidad & Tobago Willis Plaza has already returned to his country last Saturday. The club has also deducated five lakh rupees from his salary too. Plaza got the punishment from the club for his misbehavior in the Kolkata derby held at Siliguri where he hit Mohun Bagan’s Anas Edathodika inside the box and was given marching orders by the the referee. Following his red card offence he also received a three match suspension from the AIFF.
