Kolkata: East Bengal officials are in talks with Lajong midfielder Penn Orji. It is learnt that Trevor Morgan is very much in demand for his former horse in the midfield and the British coach had some positive talks with the Nigerian midfielder. Penn too did not deny about the fact and said that both the club officials and Trevor Morgan are in constant touch with him. The Nigerian added that there has been no official agreement yet but it seems that if everything goes well, East Bengal fans would the see the duo of Penn and Morgan again after a gap of 3 years.

Earlier, Penn Orji joined East Bengal on the debut season of Trevor Morgan in 2010-11. Since then, he has performed consistently for the Red and Gold in the next three till 2012-13 under the stint of Morgan. Penn then shifted colours and donned the Black and White jersey for Mohammedan Sporting but he could not perform as the club got relegated from the I-league too. The Nigerian played the inaugural season of the ISL for the Kerala Blasters. Since then, he donned the Lajong jersey and played superbly in the recently concluded I-league for the Reds.
