Kolkata: Mohun Bagan supporters had a great delight with their Scottish striker Darryl Duffy scoring an Ibrahimovic style back volley goal in the practice match against Railway FC. Coach claimed the team is ready to play CFL. However, on Tuesday’s match it was not proved through the match they played.

Mohun Bagan won their practice match prior to CFL by 2-0. Today at Mohun Bagan ground players toiled hard to play on deep mud-stuffed ground. The condition deteriorated after today’s rain. There were a lot of miss-passes from the Mohun Bagan players. Lacking of proper distribution of ball from mid-field was also seen.

However, coach Shankarlal Chakraborty claimed that the team is ready for CFL. “The team is quiet ready for CFL. They are doing well enough”, he said.

Among the bad patched Mohun Bagan palyers only Darryl Duffy was on high. In the second half of the match at 68th minute Duffy scored the first goal of the match. The goal reminded of the goal scored by Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic last Saturday against Galatasaray. It was almost similar to the back volley scored by the Swedish striker.

Few days ago landing in Kolkata Duffy claimed that he was not totally match fit. However, today’s goal did not reflect that. His coach also stated that. He said, “He is professional footballer. Hope he will deliver his 100% for the team every time”.

Apart from Duffy, Raju Gaikwad also scored for Mohun Bagan. On the 75th minute of the game he scored a header from shot taken from the left side by Sarthak Golui.
