Kolkata:
Seems like the sweet voyage of Do Dong Hyun in Kingfisher East Bengal colours is about to come to an end as Trevor Morgan, the Kingfisher East Bengal FC gaffer has confirmed www.xtratime.in that he is already in talks with a couple of quality Asian foreigners. Trevor told XtraTime,”Yes, I have already been in talks with a couple of quality Asian foreigners.” Though he added that he hadn’t finalized his choice as yet. Trevor had disclosed his stand for Dong and British defender Calum Angus to XtraTime a week ago that he was not at all willing to keep both of them for the I-League. Calum had already been released after the Bordoloi Trophy. Today, it seemed imminent that the Red and Gold boss has made up his mind that he would change the entire set of the foreigners as well.

Do Dong had started his stint with East Bengal in an amazing fashion last season as the Korean attacker scored 12 goals in the Calcutta Football League, including some incredible goals against Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan and Mohammedan Sporting. The performance earned him an extension in his contract for East Bengal.

Though the I-League seemed to be a futile one for the Korean as he often got benched for some poor performances and injury worries. Despite the fact, Dong managed to score a match winning goal against Mohun Bagan and a brilliant individual goal against the eventual champions Bengaluru FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium.

The current season has been worse for Dong as he failed to show his quality, even in competitions like Calcutta Football League and 64th Bordoloi Trophy. It is learnt that a few I-League clubs are already in talks with Dong’s agent. But his agent denied to disclose to make any comment on that.

The British coach is determined to turn the fortune of his club in terms of winning the illusive I-League which both Trevor and his club are yet to achieve. Along with the foreigners, Trevor is also in talks with some quality Indian players for strengthening the I-League squad.
