Kolkata: It’s a very disappointing for Wriddhiman Saha as he has to come back to Kolkata for his hamstring injury from South Africa. He came back to Kolkata today with his family and looked very tired after a long travel and he was very disappointed too. Not only him but also his wife Debarati is also very disappointed with his injury.
Wriddhiman got hamstring injury during practice session in his left leg before the Centurion test and advised to take complete rest for few weeks. He was also advised to take rehab seasons by the team India doctor. He might go to N.C.A to be fit before IPL.
He is a vital cog in Indian team for last two years after M.S Dhoni retired from the longest format of the game. This is not the first time he got injured as earlier, in 2014 England tour he got an injury in his finger and ruled out of the team. In 2015 Sri Lanka tour he got hurt in the second Test and got out of the series too. He ruled himself out in home series against England. After returning to Kolkata he refused to say anything as the series is still going on against the Proteas. He was in great form behind the wicket in the first Test as he got ten dismissals in the match. Since making his debut against South Africa in 2010, Saha has represented India in 32 Tests, effecting 85 dismissals 75 catches and 10 stumpings.
