Internet Desk: Former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has reached another milestone in his career as he has completed his 16000 international runs during the first of three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. Among the Indians, current captain Virat Kohli was the fastest to reach this landmark while Dhoni is the slowest among all. Except Dhoni, five other Indian batsmen have touched this feat. They are Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag and Kohli.

Dhoni has 4876 runs under his belt in Tests, 9351 runs in ODIs and 1281 runs in T20Is so far in his career. The veteran wicket-keeper batsman has 16 international tons and 101 half-centuries in all three-formats of the game.

The Men in Blue struggled a lot at Dharamsala after the Lankan skipper Thisara Perera sent the hosts to bat first after winning the toss. Rohit Sharma and co. were tottering at 29 for 7, but Dhoni and young chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav held the innings together to to help India to get past it’s lowest total in ODI which is 54.
