Delhi Capitals’ players forced into isolation again after net bowler tests COVID-19 positive
Xtra Time Web Desk: Delhi Capitals’ players were forced into isolation after a net bowler was tested positive for COVID-19. The entire squad had to undergo a RT-PCR test, the result of which is awaited. Delhi Capitals is supposed to take on Chennai Super Kings in the second match of Sunday double header.
Earlier head coach Ricky Ponting, and players –Tim Seifert, Mitchell Marsh and four other support staff including physio Patrick Farhat had tested positive for COVID-19.
Delhi Capitals management is hopeful for the match to go ahead against CSK after their earlier fixture against Punjab Kings was moved from MCA Stadium, Pune to Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
The decision was taken to prevent any further spread of the virus en route to Pune.
