Day 2 of WBTTA Premier League saw intense battle between the participating teams

Kolkata: A total number of five teams are competing in the West Bengal Table Tennis Association (WBTTA) Premier League 2017, which have already started from May 26 and will end on June 6. The digital partner of this prestigious tournament is XtraTime.

The five teams that are participating in the tournament are :- East Kolkata Table Tennis Organization (EKTTPO), Howrah Annapurna Bayam Samiti (HABS), L.W. Table Tennis Academy (LWTTA), Naihati Youth Association (NYA) and Sidhu Kanu Table Tennis Academy (SKTTA).

A lot of players have participated in this tournament which included many players from other states:-

Tekmi Sarkar (North Bengal), Varuni Jaiswal (Telengana), Sanmay Paranjape (Delhi), Saidul Ahmed (Assam), Avinav Belwal (UP), Rahul Jhanra (Rajasthan), Sourav Saha (Haryana) & Shibaji Roy (Jharkhand) are from the other states

The players from West Bengal are Arjun Ghosh, Krittwika Sinha Roy, Mousumi Paul, Meenu D Basak, Anirban Nandi, Anirban Ghosh, Kaushani Nath, Priyadarshini Das, Souvik Roy, Abhimanyu Mitra, Pallabi Kundu, Shreya Ghosh, Ronit Bhanja, Sutirtha Mukherjee, Moumita Dutta, Anushree Hazra, Prapti Sen, Jeet Chandra & Anindita Chakraborty.

Day 2 of the league saw quite a drama in the games that took place.

L.W.Tennis Academy which is run by Sri Souvik Roy an ex- International Table Tennis star made a debut in this league and played two games.

LWTTA defeated SKTTA by 4-2.

Saidul Ahmed, Pallabi Kundu, Abhimanyu Mitra and Surbi Patwari won for LWTTA while Anindita Chakraborty and Sourav Basu Roy won for SKTTA.

The player of the match was awarded to Abhimanyu Mitra of LWTTA.

In another battle LWTTA drew 3-3 against NYA which is managed by Mihir Ghosh.

Saidul Ahmed, Pallabi Kundu, Abhimanyu Mitra emerged victorious for LWTTA while Sutitha Mukherjee, Ronit Bhanja and Moumita Dutta won for NYA.

Moumita Dutta was adjudged the player of the match.
