Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo creates new controversy after accusing Celta Vigo players for receiving bribe before playing against the Los Blancos where the Europa League semi-finalists lost the game by 1-4. It was another special performance by Cristiano Ronaldo which made all the difference.

Although Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane declined to comment on the notion of Celta Vigo receiving a ‘Maletin’, effectively a briefcase full of money, for the match against Los Blancos, Cristiano Ronaldo was caught by the cameras accusing Gustavo Cabral of having ulterior motives in giving him a rough time.

The Portuguese forward, who scored twice against the Galician team, was seen making gestures to his rivals including rubbing his fingers to imply cash payments before wielding an invisible handle of a briefcase.
“Briefcase… You. Much Money,” he gestured as caught by Minuto 0.
The ‘Maletin’ is one of the most controversial concepts in Spanish football, balancing between a legal bribe and the borders of match-fixing, allowing a third-party to get involved in a match that is on their interest. No doubt, Ronaldo’s intention was to point his fingers towards the arch rivals Barcelona. Before the game, Barca manager Luis Enrique tried to motivate Celta Vigo by saying that the Celta players has the quality to stop Real Madrid. Ronaldo’s comments thus added a little more spice into it.
