Cricketers and their social responsibilities

Internet Desk: A lot of cricket fanatics over the world idolize their favourite cricketers right now and they follow whatever those cricketers do on social media. The cricketers too use their verified social platforms to convey their messages on public awareness to their fans. Star cricketers like India skipper Virat Kohli, legendary Sachin Tendulkar, Shikhar Dhawan and Kevin Pietersen did the same through their social platforms to let their fans know what they shouldn’t do for the betterment of the society.

In a video that went viral on social media few days back, which shows a child is trying to give right answers to narrate the numbers and he was beaten by a lady as he made some mistakes while answering it. Both of them urged to the parents that they should be patient regarding their children’s study.

India skipper Virat Kohli took to instagram too where he posted, “The fact that the pain and anger of the child is ignored and ones own ego to make the child learn is so massive that compassion has totally gone out of the window. This is shocking and saddening to another dimension. A child can never learn if intimidated. This is hurtful.”

Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was seen speaking with a couple as he gave them lessons about road safety after they stopped beside his car to see him. Tendulkar, a Rajya Sabha MP, posted a video on his Twitter page, in which he can be seen on the back seat of a car and telling bikers to not drive without helmets. “Rider or pillion, both lives matter equally. Please, please make wearing helmets a habit. Just my opillion #HelmetDaalo2.0 #RoadSafety,” he posted on his twitter page.

Usage of smart phones are growing day by day. In these days the Childs are using these gadgets a lot, which is good as well as bad as much use of it will put their life in danger. Star Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan too said this on his social media.

“I feel happy & scared at the same time when I watch this video..Internet can teach a child a lot but it is also important to limit d usage,” posted Dhawan on his twitter account.

Since Kevin Pietersen became a South African again, he’s had quite a thing for saving rhinos. He is a champion of the anti-poaching cause and he has urged to come to India to share his thoughts on saving  rhinos. “INDIA – I need to come there & try to help with the same situation that’s happening in Africa! We ALL need to help! #SORAI” told  Pietersen.
