Copa Del Rey : Hat-tricks from Messi And Suarez Sinks Valencia

Internet Desk : Lionel Messi netted a hat-trick and Suarez scored four goals as Barcelona demolished Valencia 7-0 in the Copa Del Ray semifinal first leg  at the Nou Camp. The Argentine  scored his second hat-trick of the year.

Following a misake from midfielder Andre Gomes , Neymar took the ball and passed to Suarez who shot it past goalkeeper Matthew Ryan.

Barcelona doubled their lead through Suarez. Sergio Buisquests sent a long ball. Full back Alex Vidal received it and passed it back  to the ex-Liverpool striker who blast it past in the top corner.

Messi scored his first for the Catalans to stretch the lead to 3-0. The Argentine  earned a spot kick after a few minutes  as he was  brought down in the penalty box by German defender Shkodran Mustafi. The Valencia defender was showed the marching order by referee although Neymar missed the penalty by hitting the post. Barcelona went into the half time with a three goal lead.

Messi scored again  in 59th minutes to make it 4-0. Messi received a lovely back heel pass from Suarez and dribbed past two Valencia player to score his second of the night. Messi completed his hat-trick with 16 minutes remaining. Dani Parejo failed to clear the ball in the box and Messi didn’t make a mistake As he blast it past the opponent keeper.

Suarez scored the sixth goal with a header from Adriano’s cross. The Uruguyan then scored his fourth of the match with two minutes left. He collected a pin point pass from Arda Turan and finished it with a sublime effort.

Barca have now won their last 12 games out of 13. They extend their unbeaten streak to 27 matches. It was a perfect night for the Catalans. Before the match Valencia coach Gary Neville has urged the supporters to have faith in their team. The former Manchester United and England right back has been winless in the last eight games and only a miracle see them through to the Copa Del Rey Final.
