Cook became fifth batsmen to score ton on debut and last innings

XtraTime Web Desk:  Alastair Cook makes history as the fifth player to score a century in first and last test match as he crossed three-figure mark against India at The Oval. He got his first ever test century against the same opponent in 1 st March 2006 at Vidarbha.

Cook scored 33 rd century on Monday in the last test of his career. Earlier Greg Chappel, Reggie Duff, Mohammad Azharuddin and William Ponsford did it.



Aussie batsman Reggie Duff was the first batsman to achieve it in 1905 as he scored 104 against England in his debut test and scored 146 against the same opposition at Oval.

Cook started his career by scoring 106 runs against India and now he scored a ton in his last test and remain not out against the same opposition at Oval.
