Kolkata: The IFA Player’s Status Committee will be taking a decision regarding the matters concerning with Abinash Ruidas. Today the Player’s Status Committee sat down in a meeting at IFA where East Bengal official Deepankar Chakraborty though being present, the player with whom the controversy surrounds was not present. Abinash had apparently called IFA claiming that he is currently in Kathi and would not be able to attend the meeting.

The East Bengal official being present in front of the committee showed the token of Abinash. The committee has also reviewed the official documents of Abinash however due the absence of the player, the meeting was adjourned.

Now the question which arises that after reviewing the documents of the player, are the documents legit?

To this IFA secretary Utpal Ganguly said “I will disclose the matter day after tomorrow. But we have two aspects one being the value of the token which has been in practice since 1920. Due to the value of this token, many disputes have been settled before. The other aspect being, a player from this state id has to play in another state will have to take NOC from the IFA.”

The summary of today’s meeting would be sent to the Federation.
