Contract Controversy: Trouble continues, will Ruidas attend the IFA meeting with East Bengal?

Kolkata: The fate of promising youngster Abinas Ruidas is still at stake despite being sold to Mumbai City FC in the Hero Indian Super League players draft. Mumbai City FC called The AIFF today to get the clearance of the player to solve the ongoing controversy.

In an interaction www.xtratime.in correspondent Gopal Roy, The AIFF General Secretary Kushal Das said, “Mumbai City FC called me today and told us that Ruidas is a free player and he has no contract with East Bengal. That is why they signed him on the draft. They will send me a mail as well on tomorrow. They have requested me to revert the case to get the clearance.”

Meanwhile, The IFA has called a Players Status Committee meeting tomorrow with East Bengal and Abinas Ruidas to discuss the problem. Then the report of the meeting will also be sent to The IFA.

Though, sources close to Ruidas told XtraTime, that the player is out of Kolkata for personal reasons and he might not turn up for the meeting tomorrow. The way things are approaching, the situation is getting more complicated and it will be difficult to get a solution tomorrow on the future of the highly talented winger.
