[caption id="attachment_35760" align="aligncenter" width="580"]800px-Chris_Payne Chris Payne to join East Bengal squad at Siliguri | File Image[/caption]   Kolkata: The wait gets over as East Bengal's newly recruited Australian forward Chris Payne to arrive at Kolkata tomorrow and will officially sign for the Red and Gold brigade on Saturday ahead of the Kolkata derby.

Chris will also be included in the twenty men East Bengal squad which will be travelling to Siliguri for playing the first leg of the Kolkata Derby and the home game against Shillong Lajong at the Kanchenjunga Stadium.
Though it is learnt that Chris will not be a part of the eighteen men squad against Mohun Bagan and will watch the game from the stands. But he is going to be included in the 20 men squad as he might feature in the game against Shillong Lajong after the derby.
Payne will replace Kyrgyz international Ildar Amirov as he failed to impress the coach and the team management in his short tenure. The 26-year-old Payne was plying his trade for Sydney United 58 FC, a semi-professional football club in New South Wales. He has previously played for A-League outfits Sydney FC and Newcastle Jets.
