Chennai Super Kings management take IPL Trophy to Tirupati Temple for special pooja
Xtra Time Web Desk: MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets in a thrilling rain curtailed final to lift the coveted IPL 2023 trophy on Monday at the Narendra Modi stadium. It was the fifth IPL trophy win for the franchise equalling Mumbai Indians tally of 5 titles.
As part of the celebrations, CSK management decided to take the IPL Trophy to Balaji Mandir in Tirupati for a special pooja on Tuesday. The top officials of CSK franchise were seen carrying the IPL trophy inside the temple as the priests performed special pooja. The video shared on social media sites has gone viral.
Many felt it was a humble gesture from the franchise to offer pooja as without the blessings of Almighty, the trophy could not have been won.
It was quite a commendable effort from MS Dhoni and his boys, coming back to lift the IPL title after finishing 9th last IPL season. More so as several key players had injury or was ruled out. However, skipper Dhoni like always marshalled his troops well and guided his team to a record fifth IPL title.
