Kolkata: City giant East Bengal today registered a thumping 3-0 win over Aryan Club in the Calcutta Football League 2018 at their home ground. The Red & Gold Technical Director Subhash Bhowmick today kept his faith on star Syrian midfielder Mahmoud Al Amna and he didn’t disappoint his TD as he scored a stunning goal in the second half. The other two scorers were Laldanmawia Ralte and Kassim Aidara. With this win they are now level on points with arch rivals Mohun Bagan.
Kassim scored the opener for the Red & Gold Brigade in the first-half. Later in the second half Laldanmawia & Amna also scored for the side. In the first half, receiving a corner from Amna, Laldanmawia’s header returned after hitting the bar, it was then headed by Kassim into the Aryan goal. Before that Aryan goalie Souvik Santra made two brilliant saves as well.
In the second half, on the 50th minute of the game, Amna gave a pass to Brendon on the 50th minute at the right wing. Then Laldanmawia scored the second goal for the team after receiving the ball from Brendon. On the 69th minute of the game, Amna scored his first goal of the league. After receiving a ball from Kamalpreet he dodged an Aryan defender with a slick turn and scored the goal by his left foot.
