Kolkata: Just ahead of facing Patha Chakra in their third game in Calcutta Football League 2017 on Monday, Mohun Bagan coach Shankarlal Chakraborty today compared himself and the players with a salesman. Just like a corporate company sacks its employees if they failed to achieve the targets, the job of the coaches and the players are same. If they don’t perform well they won’t get a contract next time.

Patha Chakra is a very good side and they had started the tournament with a bang as they beat Mohammedan Sporting club with a big margin 4-2. There star foreigner Eric Brown might play tomorrow as well. Indian players like Monotosh Chakladar and Lalkamal Bhowmick would also be very effective for the side. The Green and Maroon Brigade is not taking their opponent lightly too. According to the Mohun Bagan gaffer,” The more the League progresses it would be difficult to win the matches with an ease as all the team would know their strength and weakness.”

Their arch-rival East Bengal had won their matches with big margins but Shankarlal didn’t look a bit concerned with the matter as he only wants to concentrate on how his team is performing.  According to the Bagan coach it doesn’t matter to him how big is the margin of win but what’s important is the three points as at the end of the day it matters the most. The Green and Maroon Brigade is always concerned about not conceding the goal and score goals against their opposition as much as possible.

Many East Bengal coaching staffs had gone to the ground to watch Mohun Bagan’s matches as the two Kolkata giants would face each other in CFL derby on September 10. On being asked whether if they have any plans to watch any East Bengal match on the ground, the Green and Maroon coach replied,” I don’t have any plans like that. I would like to watch their matches on TV where I can see their each move three or four times which is not possible if I go to the ground.”

Pintu Mahato might make a return to the squad in the game. Abhishek Das too has recovered from his injury, though the coach doesn’t want to take any risk on him right now and he wants to give him more time. Mohun Bagan is eying to continue their winning run against Patha Chakra as a draw or loss would end their title hopes.

Haitian star international Sony Norde has confirmed today that he will play for Mohun Bagan for the upcoming I-League season. While answering about the matter, Shankarlal sadi,” Yes I know that he has signed for the side. But my focus is only on Calcutta Football League now.

Mohun Bagan Probable XI: Shibilraj, Arijit, Rickey, Kingshuk, Kingsley, Azharuddin, Chesterpaul, Raynier, Surchandra, Kamo, Kromah.
