CFL 2017: What will be Kamo’s biggest challenge, as Mohun Bagan to face Rainbow tomorrow?

Mohun Bagan eyeing for their sixth successive victory as the Green and Maroon brigade is gearing up to face NBP Rainbow on Wednesday. The Mariners have been in some serious form this season and playing some captivating football to outclass their oppositions. The club has not won the trophy for the last seven years and the way thing are approaching at the moment, the attacking display of the Mariners is spreading ominous signs to the oppositions camp. Though the Bagan coach Shankarlal Chakraborty is not thinking too much about the derby. He said, “My entire focus is now on the next game on tomorrow. I’m not focusing on the derby at the moment.”

Shankarlal also believes that the team is going to the pick of their form at the right time. He said, “The steering if the team is now in our control. Things can only get better from here on.” Mohun Bagan coach added, “Before the derby we need to play three crucial games against Rainbow, Mohammedan Sporting and Peerless. If we drop points in any of those games, then there would be no importance of the derby. Of course, we want to win the league, but we are thinking step by step.”

The Green and Maroon brigade won’t get the service of Kingsley in the defence for card problems. Shankarlal seemed wary, as he said, “Rainbow is a good side. There are a few very talented youngsters. Unlike the early stages, they now have three foreigners. Their fighting ability was evident against East Bengal as well. It will be a good game.”

On the other hand, Mohun Bagan’s attacking spearhead Kamo Bayi will be playing his first game against his own brother Baju, who plays as a foreign midfielder at Rainbow. Kamo told www.xtratime.in , “We always share a lot of ideas about the game. But on the pitch there would be no brotherhood. Both of us will be trying to come out as the winner for the respective sides tomorrow.”
