CFL 2017: East Bengal vs Tollygaunge match venue changed

Kolkata: The East Bengal vs Tollygaunge match which was scheduled to be held at Kalyani Stadium on September 19 owing to floodlight installation at the East Bengal club ground has yet been changed. The Nadia district made it certain that on the auspicious occasion of Mahalaya, adequate police stationing will not be possible for the match and as a result hosting the match at Kalyani became impossible.

Later on it was decided that the match could be held at Barasat stadium however the club officials made it certain that the game will be held in the club ground of the Red and Gold brigade.

Despite the process of floodlight installation is going on, the match would be held there.

On the other hand, a lot of East Bengal supporters felt sick during the mini-derby against Mohammedan SC. Fans suffered nosebleeds while others suffered dizziness and nauseous under the scorching heat of the sun.

IFA Secretary Utpal Ganguly, made it clear that they will look for the best for the fans. Ganguly said he was surprised that they never thought the temperature on that particular day would be that high.
