XtraTime Web Desk: Veteran bats-woman Mithali Raj was the star as Indian eves registered a comprehensive win by 7 wickets against arch-rivals Pakistan to win their second consecutive game of the ICC Women’s World T20 on Sunday.




Earlier India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and elected to bowl first. Though Pakistan women didn’t get a good start but thanks to their middle-order bats-women Bismah Maroof (53) and Nida Dar (52) the Women in Green reached 133 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs time. In reply India reached the total with 1 over to spare. Raj got out after hitting a blistering knock of 56 runs in just 47 deliveries. She hit 47 deliveries in the process.




The star of the last game skipper Harmanpreet Kaur remained not out on 14 runs along with Veda Krishnamurthy (8). Another opener Smriti Mandhana too did well to score 26 runs before getting out. With this win the Indian eves are one step closer to reach the knock-out stages.
