Brendon McCullum all set to leave KKR after IPL; likely to be the head coach of England's Test team : Report
Xtra Time Web Desk : Kolkata Knight Riders' current head coach Brendon McCullum has reportedly informed the franchise that he will officially resign from the post, once the Indian Premier League 2022 is over, courtesy of his links with the England Cricket Team for being their new head coach for Tests.
According to an Indian Express report, the former New Zealand skipper who has recently going through a rough ride in his coaching stint with the KKR, courtesy of their debacle, did show interest in being the head coach of England Test team, once their former gaffer Chris Silverwood resigned from the role.
“He informed us that he won’t be part of KKR going ahead as he will be taking up a job as England cricket team coach. He informed us during a team meeting a few days ago,” said a KKR insider source to the Indian Express about the matter.
Whatever happens, the next few days are going to be vital for both the KKR and England team fans, for a big change is likely to happen.
