Ranjan Chowdhury's Red & Gold brigade thumped the Bangladeshi outfit by a resounding 6-0 margin.

It was Nigerian Adileja who started the scoring in the 6th minute of the game as Dong's free kick was nicely followed by the East Bengal forward. Do Dong doubled the lead for the Kolkata outfit in the 34th minute as East Bengal was leading by 2-0 at half time.
Jiten Murmu scored immediately after the half time to give a 3-0 lead to East Bengal in the 49th minute. Midfielder Prahlad Roy too joined the party as he scored an ineffable goal from 25 yards out to make it 4-0 in the 62nd minute.
East Bengal got a penalty in the 67th minute as Do Dong Hyun, the Korean made no mistake to ponce on the opportunity to make it 5-0. Young sensation Nikhil Pujari scored the last goal in the 84th minute to make the scoreline even more insulting for the neighbour country.
The performance of the new look East Bengal side would certainly please the interim coach Ranjan Chowdhury in their next game versus United Sikkim on Saturday.
