Is it that he wants to defeat the full strength Mohun Bagan team in the derby? Biswajit quoted as saying," His suspension has been quite a long one. Its enough for a coach. When it comes to derby it is difficult for any team to play without the coach in the reserve bench." Meanwhile, Biswajit Bhattacharya, who is raising questions in favour of Sanjoy Sen's suspension is well aware that his team is still in contention of winning the league after Mohun Bagan's sudden loss against Aizawl FC. Biswajit was quick to react on this. The gaffer replied," Its nothing like that. Our loss against Salgaocar and DSK Shivajians gave some relief to Mohun Bagan also. You can't calculate like that." On asking about his relations with French International Bernard Mendy, Biswajit said, " We share a very good relation. Mendy is a very good team man. He contributes a lot for the team. A shear leader for the team." Mehtab Hussain was in all praise for Sony Norde and Jeje. He quoted as saying," Sony Norde is a class foreigner who knows how to adapt. It will be no problem for him to play in the derby after coming from International duty. Jeje is playing like a international footballer who is consistently scoring goals for whichever team he plays for." Dong quoted as saying, " I know how to handle the pressure of derby. I will watch my derby goals in the CFL and try to  motivate myself." Meanwhile, East Bengal Official Fan Club was inaugurated at a five star hotel in Rajarhat. A lot of sports dignitaries like Grandmaster Dibyendu Barua and Former Bengal cricketer and National selector Sambaran Banerjee were present in regards to the occasion. East Bengal officials attempt was not only to inaugurate the official fan club but another important highlight of the event was the felicitation of a very young talented swimmer, Sayani Ghosh. Despite Sayani's financial struggles and challenged background, she emerged triumohant as State-level Winner as the Best Swimmer and won a Gold medal at the 12th Asian Games 2016. East Bengal club was proud to bear the financial responsibility of Sayani Ghosh as a sportsperson and to stand beside her, every step of the way. Sayani was felicitated with  a cheque of Rs 1.00,000. Dibyendu Barua quoted as saying," I am a huge supporter of East Bengal. This is a great initiative by East Bengal officials and I welcome it." Sambaran Banerjee quoted as saying," I don't know what will happen on the 2nd of April. But the initiative taken today by officials is already a 5-0 thrashing to Bagan." The members of the Fan club were provided with the Team jersey, a Membership Card, discount vouchers of 100 top brands, a discount on East Bengal Club Cafe and most importantly a 20% discount on all home match tickets. The Membership Form will be available from 30th March onwards from East Bengal Club office, and listed Mio Amore and Irony Furniture store in and around Kolkata. Membership can also be applied online through the club website www.eastbengalclub.co.in. An individual membership costs Rs 689/-(all inclusive). Memberships will be renewable annually.
