Bengal’s former goalkeeper to formulate Federation’s draft constitution

Internet Desk: Former chief Election Commissioner of India, S.Y. Qureshi and Former Indian football captain Bhaskar Ganguly has been appointed as the Committee of Administrators by the Supreme Court of India.

The duo has been given the task to make a draft of the constitution of the Federation ensuring that the constitution will be in accordance to that of the National guidelines. As for the reports are being concerned, the duo would also be preparing the guidelines for the conduct of the business along with the formation of the Election Commission and how it will conduct the election and must also ensure that the status of Petitioner Federation must never be undermined in any way in the International body.

The committee headed by the duo are to submit their draft constitution and their reports with a period of eight weeks.

When questioned to Bhaskar Ganguly regarding the matter he said, “I haven’t received anything as of now. On Monday I will be going to East Bengal club, let me understand the matter and then I will speak about it”

The AIFF on being displeased with the order from the High Court appealed to the Supreme Court. After the hearing being held yesterday, the order was passed today.
