Internet Desk: Having started the Vijay Hazare Trophy with a dominating victory, Manoj Tiwary’s Bengal will look to continue the run against Goa tomorrow at the Murugappa Stadium in Chennai.

Captain Manoj Tiwary said, “We have started the tournament with a win and now our focus will be to carry on the good performance in tomorrow’s match.”

With the batsmen performing relatively well in the last match, where both the middle and top order got runs, Bengal looks in no worry in the batting department.

Asked about any change Bengal wants to make in the team, Manoj said, “We are happy with the way we played in the last match. Our batsmen got runs and the bowlers also did well. Anustup as expected has shown his class by bringing his experience into play. But we still have many options in our hand. No final decision has been taken.”

Chennai pitches usually support stop and turn. While the spinners have done well in the last match, with Pragyan Ojha taking two important wickets, doesn’t seem a concern for Manoj Tiwary and co.

“I haven’t seen the pitch, but conditions here usually support spin bowling, our bowler have done well in the last match, we are quite confident about it,” said Manoj.

The seam department as usual will be lead by Ashoke Dinda. But with Kanishk Sheth coming back into the side, leaves a question of who will be the second and third pacer in the team.

“We are thinking of playing an unchanged side. But now Kanishk Sheth has also joined the squad. He has really shown some good performance in the recent past, so he also might play tomorrow,” Manoj concluded.
On the other hand, being defeated by Gujarat by 78 runs in the last match, Goa will be under pressure of getting their first win in the tournament.
