Internet Desk: The American tennis sensation Serena Williams on Saturday won her 23rd Grand Slam title at the Australian Open by beating her sister Venus in two sets 6-4, 6-4 in the final in Melbourne.

Serena, 35, now holds the record of major titles win in the professional era ahead of Germany’s Steffi Graf.

The younger sisters found first in the world at the expense of German Angelique Kerber, defending champion was eliminated in the knockout stages.

It is the seventh title in Australia of Serena, fourteen years after the first, that she had already won by beating her sister in the final.
