San-Tina extended their run to 32 career wins in the womens doubles .

Internet Desk : Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis defeated Kichenok sisters to continue their dream run in womens doubles. The Indo-Swiss pair defeated Lyudmyla and Nadiia Kichenok 6-2, 6-3 to surge into the third round. The top ranked pair extended their unbeaten streak to 32 matches after moving to the third round. The top seeds will now face Russian-Italian pair of  Svetlana Kuznetsova and Roberta Vinci for  a berth in quarter-final .

Stanislas Wawrinka claimed his 400th career win when he defeated Lukas Rosol 6-2,6-3,7-6(7-3). The The former Australian Open champion will now meet canada’s 13th seed Milas Raonic to book a place in the last 16.

Johanna Konta became the first British woman to make it to the fourth round of the Australian Open since 1987. She defeated Czech Republic’s Denisa Allertova 6-2 6-2 .

Canadian Milas Raonic defeated Viktor Troikci 6-2,6-3,6-4 to advance to the fourth round. In the women’s singles Victoria Azarenka thrashed Japanese qualifier Naomi Osaka 6-1 6-1 on her way to the round 16.

Frenchman Gael Monfils brushed aside the challenge of Stephane Robert to move to the fourth round. He won 7-5,6-3,6-2. Monfils came back twice once in the first set and again in the second set.
