Asian Games 2018: Three more silver medals for India in Athletics

XtraTime Web Desk: More silver medals for India as Dharun Ayyasamy silver medal in men’s 400 metre hurdles and Sudha Singh wins silver medal in women’s 3,000m steeplechase Final clocking 9:40.03 at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta on Monday.




Dharun was far behind at the start of the match but fought back just in time and outclassed Japan’s Takatoshi Abe to finish at the second place. He clocked his personal best timing of 48.96 seconds.




Dharun, who started way behind pulled back just in time and managed to trump Japan’s Takatoshi Abe at the last moment to finish second with a personal best timing of 48.96.




On the other hand Sudha gave her everything but failed to get past Bahrain’s Winfred Yavi, who became first in 300 metre steeplechase. Sudha’s timing was 9.40.03, on the other hand Yavi recorded 9.36.52. Beside them Neena Varakil won silver medal in women’s long Jump with best attempt of 6.51m.




After getting three more silvers India now has seven medals in athletics and 40 overall. Muhammed Anas, Hima Das, Dutee Chand and Tejinder Pal Singh were the other four.
