Sunil Chhetri, has made India proud once again. The legend and the all time highest goalscorer in Indian football has now earned a new honour as he has been figured on the cover page of AFC’s new official magazine, AFC Quarterly.

More than three years ago, AFC or Asian Football Confederations)launched the Confederation’s new official magazine, AFC Quarterly. The first edition included exclusive and in-depth interviews and features on the leading players, coaches, clubs, and federations around the Confederations. Today, after an 18th issue of the magazine, for the first time an Indian Footballer has graced the cover.

Indian and Bengaluru FC’s Captain Sunil Chhetri becomes the first Indian to feature on the cover of AFC Quarterly magazine. The 32-year old striker recently got retained by Bengaluru FC for the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) campaign.

Next month, Bengaluru FC will be hosting 4.25 SC in the knockout stage of AFC Cup at Sree Kanteerava Stadium. The talismanic Captain is hopeful to lead his side to another victory after being the key in India’s 1-0 win over Kyrgyz Republic in the AFC Asian Cup 2019 qualifiers.
