Kolkata : After former United SC coach Subrata Bhattacharya, who escaped from the field in between a match against Peerless when his team United SC suffered consecutive three losses in the CFL campaign and was on the verge of losing that match too, this time round it was the turn of Peerless SC coach Fuja Tope who left the ground when his team conceded 4 silly goals against Army XI assuming a the match was a got-up one. Fuja Tope did not even travel by his car rather he went back home riding a train from Kalyani. Army XI defeated Peerless SC 4-2 to save themselves from relegation.

As it was the last match day of the CFL Premier Division A 2016 campaign there were a total four matches being played. At the end, Aryan, Bhawanipur, George Telegraph and United SC were relegated to Premier Division B. United SC beat Tollygunge Agragami 1-0 courtesy a solitary goal from Sankar Oraon in the 58th minute but it was not enough for the purple brigade to save them from being relegated. In the other two matches, Southern Samity defeated Aryan 2-1 and assured Aryan get relegated in the Premier Division B zone and Bhawanipur smelled first victory of the season in their last match beating George Telegraph 4-0 but iot was not enough for the Debjit Ghosh coached side to remain in the top tier of the CFL.
