Internet Desk: With lots of controversies around O P Jaisha another bad news arrives for her. She has been tested positive for H1N1 virus. After Sudha Singh she is the second case among the Rio returned athletes.

Two days ago another long distance women runner of India Sudha Singh was also tested positive for H1N1 virus. She was suspected at first of having Zika virus. However, that tested negative.

Jaisha returned India with fever like Sudha. She also had body ache. Now she has been hospitalized.

“Jaisha, who arrived in Bengaluru with fever and body ache, has been hospitalised at the Fortis hospital at Bannerghatta, as per the information I had received so far from SAI doctors”, said Sports Authority of India Regional director Shyam Sunder.

She, however, agreed to give her blood samples for testing yesterday after the state health officials convinced her, Sunder said.

“It was an arduous task to convince Jaisha to get her blood samples tested at the virology institute. She ignored our counseling and moved out of the SAI premises on August 21 after applying for leave,” he said.

Jaisha was brought to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases on Wednesday with cough, exhaustion and mild fever. Results of her samples proved positive for H1N1 on Thursday. There administered anti-viral drugs (Tamiflu) even before obtaining the test results because she had all the symptoms of swine flu.
