Internet Desk: Real Madrid’s star forward Cristiano Ronaldo has faced a five-match ban after he allegedly pushed referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea after he was given the marching order during last night’s first leg win of Real over Barcelona.

The Portuguese striker, scored a stunner to make it 2-1 in the 80th minute to give the home side much needed advantage. The referee awarded him a yellow card for taking of his shirt after scoring the goal at Camp Nou.

The Madrid heartthrob was booked again for the second time in just two minutes time for a dive. After seeing the red card he shoved the referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea from behind.

Ronaldo is all set to miss Wednesday’s second leg against Barcelona in Madrid and four La Liga matches. He has to give £2,700 as fine too.

Having featured in the Confederations Cup for Portugal, the striker only returned to training earlier this month. He came on as a substitute in the UEFA Super Cup win over Manchester United on August 8.
