Kolkata: Mohammedan Sporting Club suffered successive defeats in the ongoing U19 IFA Shield after they lost to Frenz United FC 5-0 in an Group-B encounter played at the Barasat Stadium, here on Friday.
Shahrul Akmal (55′ & 89′) with a brace and a goal each from Hadi Fayyadh (18′), Dody Alfayed (43′) and Aizat Mukhlis (89′) did not only seal a semi-final berth for the Malaysian outfit but also knock Mohammedan out of the competition.
Mohammedan colts will face AIFF U19 in their last group game on Sunday at Barasat Stadium.
