Internet Desk: India’s swing bowling sensation Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s maiden five-for helped India to restrict the hosts Sri Lanka on 238 in the fifth and final ODI at R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo today.
Returning back from a two match ban Sri Lankan skipper Upul Tharanga won the toss and elected to bat first. Opener Niroshan Dickwella (2) fall for cheaply against Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Returning to the field the Lakan skipper showed much determination while batting as he scored quick-fire 48 runs in just 34 deliveries. Just when Tharanga was looking dangerous at the crease, Bumrah gave India their much needed break through as he sent Tharanga back to the pavilion with a brilliant delivery. Except Tharanga Lahiru Thirimanne (67) and former skipper Angelo Mathews (55) could only manage to score big runs against the Men in Blue. At one stage the hosts were at 185 for four but a brilliant spell from Bhuvi helped the visitors to stop Sri Lanka on an ordinary total.

In this final game, former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has created a new world record as he surpassed legendary Sri Lankan wicket-keeper Kumar Sangakkara’s record for most stumpings in ODI cricket. Sangakkara has 99 stumpings in his ODI career.

Sri Lanka’s mystery spinner Akila Dananjaya was Dhoni’s 100th stumping in limited-overs cricket. Sangakkara created this record by playing 404 ODIs, while Dhoni has created the new World record with playing only 301 ODIs in comparison.
